Anytime Scan / Reassurance Scan - Peace of Mind Whenever You Need It

Pregnancy is an incredible journey, but it’s also natural to feel anxious or unsure at times, especially between scheduled NHS appointments. That’s where our Anytime Reassurance Scans also known as 2D Reassurance Scans come in. At Before We Meet in Sunderland, we believe every parent deserves the comfort of knowing their baby is doing well, and the chance to connect whenever they need it most.

What Is an Anytime Reassurance Scan?

Unlike scans that are tied to specific weeks of pregnancy (such as early scans or gender scans), our Reassurance Scan can be booked at any stage, from early pregnancy right through to the third trimester. Whether you’re newly expecting, feeling reduced movement, or simply want to see your little one again in between NHS checks, this scan offers clarity, calm, and connection.

We are based in Sunderland with ample free car parking, which makes very accessible.

What Can I Expect During the Scan?

This is a 2D ultrasound scan, meaning you’ll receive clear, black-and-white images of your baby on screen. During the scan, our qualified sonographers will:

  • Check your baby’s heartbeat
  • Assess movement and position
  • Provide basic growth and wellbeing observations (depending on gestation)
  • Show you how your baby is developing

It’s not a medical diagnostic scan, but it’s designed to offer reassurance and emotional comfort, especially during times of uncertainty. You’ll also receive printed images to take home, and you’re welcome to bring a loved one or family member to share the experience.
